Happy Birthday Google

Twelve years ago the world got Googled and things haven't been the same since.

In just over a decade, the Silicon Valley company has become one of the titans of the tech industry, changing the way we do everything from email to pictures to video and more.



To celebrate its milestone, Mountain View-based Google changed the logo on its homepage Monday to an image of a cake made by the hand of famed American painter Wayne Thiebaud.

In the process Google also officially ends a long running debate on whether the company's birthday was on Sept. 7, 15 or 27. The company has celebrated on different days in the past.

Over the years Google has grown from more than a search engine. The company has revolutionized the advertising world along with expanding its business into the cell phone industry, fighting a bitter feud with fellow tech company Apple and made its employees the envy of disgruntled workers everywhere.

Torrents are good for users  because they can download any expensive and overprice software easily(e.g photoshop).The torrent users should be thankful to software engineers who crack high  quality software applications by their reverse enginnering skills.They users can also download songs, mostly movies , ebooks etc.

But it is not good for software producing companies because because they spent too much time on research and development of software and at the end they are not rewarded well.
It has also affected the business of optical disc sellers ,any game song album and movie is easily download able by torrents.Song albums and  movies are available  in pirate version before release and film business is affected(that's good).

The speed of the downloading depends on two things; the number of other users sharing the file and the number of other users downloading this same file.

We could have called police on Trott: Afridi

Newspapers reports said Trott and Riaz had an altercation minutes before the fourth one-day at Lord’s, with Trott grabbing Riaz by the throat after both exchanged heated words in the net area.



Reports said the incident started when Trott accidentally struck Riaz with his pads as he took them off.

“When Riaz was returning after warming up Trott called him a ‘match fixer’ and that he (Riaz) was up to harming Test cricket and hit his face with the pad,” Afridi told Geo television in London.

“It could have been a police case because it is crime to hit someone, but we showed a big heart and did not press for it.”

Trott was also involved in an ugly exchange of words with Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal during the first one-day game at Chester-le-Street on September 10.



Riaz, 25, was one of four Pakistani players interviewed by Scotland Yard earlier this month over claims in the News of the World that spot-fixing took place during last month’s Lord’s Test.

The three others were Salman Butt, Mohammad Aamir and Mohammad Asif. That trio have been suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

No charges have yet been levelled against any Pakistani player.

“The case is being investigated by the ICC and its anti-corruption unit and there are efforts to pressurise the Pakistan team on that,” said Afridi.

After the altercation between Trott and Riaz, Afridi confirmed that there were suggestions Pakistan should not play the match in protest.

“But we finally decided that it wouldn’t be appropriate,” said Afridi, praising his team for their spirit.

“There is a conspiracy to finish the Pakistan team, but Pakistani people are different, they rise under such a situation,” said Afridi.

Microsoft is on top again ,after long  period Microsoft internet explorer is back in action . Though surveys show that internet explorer is most used browser but it was becoming unpopular  because of firefox ,opera , and others.

Microsoft internet explorer version 9 is released. The new version is very much competitive to firefox 3.6 , opera 10 and in much features it is ahead of all browsers  .

BIG BIG BIG Flaw is that is not compatible on my operating system.Yes the system requirements for IE9 are Windows Vista SP2 (with Platform Upgrade and IE8) or Windows 7 and browser would only function with Windows Vista and Windows 7  ,  no place for xp.

Computer game obsessed mother neglected children and animals September 13, 2010 A British mother who became obsessed with a computer game let her two dogs starve to death and neglected her three children, the Daily Mail reported. It said the 33-year-old Kent woman, who could not be named for legal reasons, had become addicted to a computer game and had begun playing it almost non-stop on the internet for months. Her children - aged nine, 10 and 13 - were reduced to eating cold baked beans straight from the tin with their fingers, the Daily Mail said. They have since been taken into care.



A judge has now banned the mother from keeping animals and accessing the internet. She was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, suspended for two years, and ordered to do 75 hours' unpaid work. Not only were her children neglected, but also her dogs, which were left dead for two months in her dining room.
